Text: 2 Timothy 4:1-8
Memory Verse: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Living a fulfilled life and dying fulfilled requires understanding God’s purpose for our lives, actively pursuing it, and accomplishing all He has planned for us. Fulfillment in life comes through service to God and others.

Acts 13:36, tells us about David, who served his generation according to God’s will. David fulfilled his purpose by doing what God had planned for him, and when his work was completed, he peacefully slept in the Lord. His life is a testament to living in alignment with God’s will, serving others, and finishing well.

Paul, the apostle, also shared his testimony in 2 Timothy 4:6&7, NLT, saying, “As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near; I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.” Paul was able to face death confidently because he had faithfully completed the mission God set before him. The insight and wisdom of A.W. Tozer is evident in his statement that, “To fall asleep before we have served our generation is nothing short of tragic. No man has any right to die until he has put mankind in debt to him.”

You must serve your generation well, fulfill God’s purpose for your life, and be able to say, like Paul and David, that you have completed the work God gave you to do before your time runs out.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, let me not die without fulfilling Your purpose for my life.
2. Holy Spirit, please help me to live a faithful and fulfilled life in Christ.
