Text: Psalm 24
Memory Verse: “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1).
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He is the beginning and the end. He knows how everything started and how it will all end. All things belong to Him (Colossians 1:16-18). Our lives belong to God and it should be clear that we cannot claim authority over them because Jesus paid the price for our sins and He shed His blood at
Calvary. He will one day appear and require an account of how you conducted the affairs of your life (Romans 14:12).
Your life, job, business, money, family and all that is called ‘you’ is for God, hence you cannot boast or keep from God what is His. The Lord expects your life in its totality to be conducted in holiness, if you desire to live with Him
eternally. Do you strive to be holy? It is when you have met this condition of God that your prayers can be answered by Him as the prayer of a sinner is an abomination before Him. Only one that is obedient to Him can ask gates and
ancient doors to be lifted up so that he can enter into the blessings God prepared for him from the beginning.
You are a steward in His vineyard as admonished by Paul, and it is required in a steward that a man be found faithful. Are you faithful to Him who made you? Are you a sheep of His pasture? Are you obedient to Him in all things?
(Psalm 100).
Prayers Points:
1. O Lord, cause me to humble myself before You all the days of my life.
2. Lord, give me the desire to be holy on a daily basis.
