Text: Isaiah 49:14-16
Memory Verse: “But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me” (Isaiah 49:14).
Are you drowning in a sea of difficult circumstances, confusion, and Apain? Do you feel like with every breath, God seems farther and farther away? Instead of sensing His presence, do you feel abandoned, isolated, and unsure; wondering if God has forgotten you? At times, life gets overwhelmingly hard, and you may be tempted to give up. It
is easy to believe that God is near when everything is going well, but in dark and painful moments, you may begin to question His love or define His character based on your circumstances.
But this is not how you are called to live. Your faith must stand even in the storm. When everything feels lost, you have two choices: to turn from God in bitterness or to run toward Him and deepen your trust. God’s Word promises, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). He is near. Even when it appears that God is silent, your encounter with His Word should give you the confidence that He is always with you.
Here is what you can do when you feel forgotten:
1. Praise and trust God, regardless of how you feel (Habakkuk 3:17&18).
2. Reflect on the blessings you already have (Psalm 103:2).
3. Hold fast to the truth that God is with you always.
4. Trust His timing, for He makes everything beautiful in its time. God has not forgotten you. He is still writing your story. Keep believing.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, forgive me for doubting You, fill my heart with the assurance of Your presence always.
2. Father, increase my faith!
