Text: 2 Peter 2:1-9
Memory Verse: “then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of
judgment” (2 Peter 2:9).
As we enter the New Year, we do so with great anticipation, and some fears and uncertainties. However, our greatest assurance is that God already knows all the “hows” necessary for a successful, peaceful, and meaningful year. He knows how to guide us through the mountains and valleys, the highs and lows, of every season. That is why it is essential to commit the year into the hands of the One who knows how.
2 Peter 2:9 has been a deep source of encouragement to many. It is wonderful that we serve a God who knows how to deliver, heal, restore, guide, protect, uplift, and inspire. Often, we know what needs to happen, but not how to make it happen. That is where God steps in; He is the Almighty, the expert in the how. He sets in motion the right plan and process to bring about our deliverance.
From Scripture and the testimonies of many people, it’s clear: that God is a Master Strategist. His “how” may not always be the same as ours. That is why we must trust Him fully. I say with confidence, God knows how to rescue us from every trouble. I remember facing a health challenge to which doctors had no solution. Yet God made a way out of that hopeless situation. He knew the How. This year,
decide to seek and trust Him. Surrender your plans to Him and let Him lead the way; His way is always better.
