Jesus is in Your Boat

Text: Mark 4:35-41
Memory Verse: “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:39).

As a child of God, one thing you must know and embrace is that God is with you, just like He was with the disciples in the midst of the storm. He promises to be with you even in the midst of all your life’s storms and challenges. The story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee should prove to you that He can bring calmness and peace to every difficult situation around you.

Life is a journey, and who you allow or permit to walk with you matters a lot. Jesus and His disciples decided to go on a trip across the sea. On their way, Jesus fell asleep, and suddenly a fierce storm arose on the sea. His disciples were terrified, and they woke Him up frantically, but rising up, He calmly rebuked the wind and the sea, commanding them to be still. The storm subsided, and the disciples were filled with awe and fear.

As a believer, you must be assured that Jesus is with you; you must, therefore, not allow the challenges you encounter to cause you to doubt your trust in God. Learn to wake up daily remembering Jesus has promised to be with you always. You must know that you are not alone; Christ is always with you, even in difficult situations and circumstances.

Believing in the power and sovereignty of Jesus Christ enables you to cry out to Him when you are faced with the trials of life.

Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, speak Your peace and calmness to the storms in my life.
2. O Lord, make Your presence stronger than my struggles.
