God’s Goodness To All

Text: Psalm 145:1-10

Memory Verse: “The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all His works” (Psalm 145:9).

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” (Psalm 23:6a) describes God’s benevolence to strangers, sinners and enemies. When God is approached by any of these, does He ever help? Does God respond favourably to all these groups? He does! In 1 Kings 13:4-6, Jeroboam had made himself an enemy of God. He had gone into idolatry. He hated God’s word, pointed his hand at the man of God and shouted, ‘seize that man’. Immediately his arm got paralyzed, so that he could not pull it back, yet his hand was restored when prayer was made for him. God is not wicked and does not bear grudges. What a miracle for a wicked sinner!

Manasseh also hated God, but when he was in affliction, he called on God, and God heard him. The priests, Pharisees, and officers had come to Jesus with their lanterns, torches, and weapons to arrest Him. Peter cut off the right ear of Malchus, the servant of the High Priest. Jesus restored the ear (John 18:10, Luke 22:50&51).
Some Pastors and Men of God might say “Because you have not paid certain money, no healing for you.” If Jesus could do these things for sinners, He will do more for you – only believe. Settle your case with God today. Whatever your sin, confess it, forsake it and He will forgive you. He will heal your sickness and solve your problems, according to His will.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, visit me today and let me experience Your miracles.
2. Father, forgive me for my past sins and shortcomings. I surrender myself to You today.
