God’s Newness Through The Power Of Prayer

Text:
Isaiah 43:16-19

Memory Verse:
“Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:19).

New beginnings are packaged in nuggets of joy that can be likened to the joy of having a new born baby. Imagine the newness and joy rivers springing in the desert will bring! God is always re engineering your situation to bring about changes. Though Man drifted from God, Jesus came to reposition creation to benefit and be blessed by Him. He came to set the captives free and today He still promises a new beginning for as many as will trust Him (Luke 4:18-21). The woman with the issue of blood, Jairus’ daughter and the ordinary fishermen who became apostles, all witnessed new beginnings when they met Jesus.
Prayer is the greatest tool to jumpstart new beginnings. The power of prayer causes a turn around such that we are able to quit sinning and doing wrong. As we pray according to God’s will, we birth new beginnings and second chances into being. When you pray, you must be willing to acknowledge and leave your sin in repentance (Numbers 21:7-9). Sin opens the door for the enemy, but God vindicates you as you humble yourself in prayer (Judges 10:10-18). New beginnings are birthed in prayer and we saw Daniel praying for his country, reminding God of His promises and seeking an understanding of the times. You cannot be too busy to pray, even if the work you are doing is for God. Prayer brings God’s intention to give His people newness into reality. Your
present situation notwithstanding, God can and will rewrite your story.

Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, turn things around for my good.
2. O Lord, by Your mercy make a way for me.
