Text: Ephesians 2:4-10
Memory Verse: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).
Grace is the undeserved favour of God, freely given to us not because we earned it, but because of His boundless love and mercy. It is through grace that we are saved, restored, and sustained in our walk with God. Without grace, we would be lost, striving endlessly for a righteousness we could never achieve on our own.
God’s grace is both gentle and powerful. It meets us in our weakness and lifts us into His strength. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord reminds Paul, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. This means we do not have to hide our struggles or pretend to be perfect. Grace invites us to come as we are and find rest in God’s sufficiency.
Grace also teaches us to live godly lives. It does not give us license to sin, but rather empowers us to rise above sin and walk in the light of God’s truth. Titus 2:11&12 says, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to
all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.”
As we receive God’s grace, we are also called to extend it; to forgive as we have been forgiven, to love without limits, and to reflect the kindness we have been shown. Grace changes how we see ourselves and how we treat others (1 Peter 2:10). This should be our daily aim.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, thank You for Your grace that saves and sustains me. Help me to walk daily in the awareness of Your mercy.
2. Teach me to extend grace to others, just as I have received it from You
