Text: John 1:14-17
Memory Verse: “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John1:17).
Grace is divine assistance to achieve things you would not have been able to do on your own and that many times you could not have imagined possible. You can be humble, accommodating and forgiving through God’s grace.
Peter exemplified this in the healing of the man in Acts 3:12-16, saying “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know…” He had received grace to heal in ministry and service. Power to serve with signs and wonders.
Paul also experienced Jesus’ grace for strength in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). This is a paradox showing that when the grace and power of God rests on you, even when you appear physically weak and disadvantaged, you can still receive the strength to do exploits! The all-sufficient grace of Jesus can do wonders in your life, if you let Him. The grace to excel, be truthful, endure, persevere, live right, overcome, all come from and through Him.
Jesus was full of grace and truth. It was that grace that helped Him go through the pain and slaughter at the crucifixion like a lamb (Isaiah 53:7). Are you dealing with anger, unforgiveness, or defeat in any area? Jesus has and can give you more than enough grace to overcome.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord Jesus, I tap into Your grace for exploits.
2. Let my life radiate Your abundant grace.
