Highest Reason For Living

Text: Isaiah 6:1-8
Memory Verse: “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me” (Isaiah 6:8).

Isaiah’s timeless truth is: God is always in need of people to fulfill His eternal purposes on earth. Isaiah made himself available for the divine vacancy for a spokesman to Israel.

God calls out servants who make themselves available to Him in every generation. You were born for God’s specific purpose. Discovering and fulfilling that purpose brings immense joy to Him and you and immeasurable blessings to humanity. Jesus spoke of His divine purpose in John 18:37, saying, “To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth…” Like Christ, you have a unique role in God’s plan.

To position yourself for divine use you must:
1. Catch the divine vision – Isaiah’s divine journey began with a vision.
2. Be clean from every sin and iniquity – God cannot use an unclean vessel. Isaiah’s lips were cleansed by a coal from the altar, and his sins were purged (Isaiah 6:7).
3. Be attentive to the divine voice – Isaiah heard the Lord calling out (Isaiah 6:8a). Hearing God’s voice requires spiritual sensitivity and is essential in discerning His will and instructions.
4. Be available for divine use – Isaiah’s response was immediate and wholehearted (Isaiah 6:8b). God is looking for willing hearts that are available.

Have you discovered God’s unique purpose for your life? The joy of being used by God is immeasurable and the reward beyond human comprehension. Will you say, “Here am I, send me” to God’s call?

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, make me a vessel of honour and joy to You.
2. Deliver me, O Lord, from everything making me unusable by You.
