Text: Ephesians 2: 1-10

Memory Verse: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).

You must see yourself as God sees you. If you have repented of your sins and you have been washed in the cleansing blood of the Lamb, God sees you as justified. He no longer sees you in your righteousness which was like filthy rags, but He sees the righteousness of Christ in you. That is the foundation that qualifies you for the three principal benefits of grace that are undeserved – mercy, unearned blessings and unmerited favour.

It is important to see yourself always as God sees you. It is a weapon against the devil who wants to use your past to torment you continuously. One of the believers’ strategies for winning battles is the knowledge of who he is in the
Lord. If God sees you as a winner, you must not see yourself as a loser, circumstances surrounding you notwithstanding. It is your knowledge that informs your confession and your confession is a vital weapon in gaining the upper hand against your adversary. God’s people are not destroyed because they lack faith, are not prayerful, or are not faithful, but because they lack knowledge. And one of the greatest discoveries is to know your place in and with God (Hosea 4:6a).

It will be good for your spiritual growth, if you begin to see yourself in the light of God’s word. Search the scriptures to see how God sees you in His word, His mind for you and see how what you discover will transform you.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, thank You for opening my eyes to a vital truth concerning salvation.
2. Father, help me go into a season of self-discovery in Your Word.
