Psalm 50:14-15; Jeremiah 33:1-3
Memory Verse:
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15).
How can you get Jehovah the Rescuer involved in your matter?
1. Call upon Him (Acts 2:21): All He is expecting is to hear His name and He will come to your rescue. You call on Him through prayer and fasting.
2. Your sacrificial seeds: In 1 Kings 3, Solomon offered 1000 burnt offerings to God. Nobody had ever done that before. It is one way to call the rescuer to your situation. Sacrificial giving is a higher level of giving to God.
3. Sacrificial services: Unending dedication to God’s service (Luke 12:31-34).
4. When you invite Him into your life: You accept Him as Lord and Saviour. That was the reason He came; to rescue us from the bondage of sin. It will take someone higher than you to rescue you.
5. Praise (Acts 16:25): Paul and Silas brought God to their rescue through intense worship and praise. When your praise reaches to heaven, it causes God to rise; and when God rises, doors open, stagnancy is broken, delay gives way, your enemies are overcome.
Those that have been in captivity are about to be rescued today by praise. Do not let anyone distract you. He does not need a door to come in. He Himself is the door. That is why He will enter without an appointment. He is always waiting for you to rescue you from every mess you are in, if only you can call upon him now.
Prayer Points:
1. Thank You, Father Lord, for being there for me as my rescuer.
2. Help me, Holy Spirit, to take steps in the right direction that will get the Jehovah rescuer involved in my matters.
