No Harvest Without Sowing 1

Text: Galatians 6:7&8
Memory Verse: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

The principle of sowing and harvesting is fundamental in life, because it highlights the consequences of our actions, whether right or wrong. Simply put, there can be no harvest without sowing. If you do not plant corn seeds, you cannot expect a corn harvest. Likewise, if you do not sow orange seeds, you will not reap oranges. Proverbs 20:4 states that the sluggard who refuses to sow will have no harvest. Even when circumstances seem unfavorable, the law of sowing and reaping remains unchanging.

Understanding both the natural farming process and biblical principles of sowing and reaping makes entering into your harvest an achievable goal. If you commit to this principle, God will guide you on what to sow, how to sow it, and how to nurture it for the desired outcome. If you are not reaping in a particular area, ask yourself: Have I sown in this area?

If you seek love, sow seeds of love into someone else’s life. If you desire a financial breakthrough, reflect on whether you are a tither and a giver. Without sowing financial seeds, you cannot expect a financial harvest. Sowing must be continuous—just as a farmer who sows wheat one year must plant again the following year to reap another harvest (Genesis 26:12).

Everything we need for a peaceful and fruitful life is already within us, hidden in the seeds we possess. To receive our desired harvest, we must be willing to sow diligently and consistently.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, give me the wisdom to sow and reap in every area of my life.
2. Pray for a discerning spirit to know what to sow and when.
