Text: Psalm 121
Memory Verse: “The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night” (Psalm 121:6).
It is comforting to know that in His infinite wisdom and unfailing love, God has denied permission to the devil and prevented several ills in your Ilife. He expresses these in His promises and expects you to appropriate them to yourself. The sun and the moon, for example, shall not strike you adversely.
Concerning Israel God said, “Fear not…When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isaiah 43:1b&2). You are God’s Israel.
Even when Israel sinned, “Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; …I will remember the covenant …’” (Leviticus 26:44&45). You are the Israel of God.
Are you that blessed man whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on it day and night? If yes, you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, your leaves are not permitted to wither; and whatever you do shall prosper.
If you have been forgiven and have been redeemed; if you walk in freedom and
bear His name, you can rest assured that God has denied permission to evil
concerning you.
Prayer Points:
1. Thank You, Jesus, for denying the devil permission concerning me.
2. Lord, I appropriate every promise You have permitted for myself.
