Text: Mark 5:25-32
Memory Verse: “When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment” (Mark 5:27).
Jesus was going to Jarius’ house to heal his daughter when this woman with the issue of blood for 12 years came up behind Him. The Bible says “She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in
the throng and touched His garment, for she kept saying, ‘If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health’” (Mark 5:27 & 28, AMPC).
This woman had a bleeding disorder for twelve years, had spent all her money on the best doctors, but continued to get worse. That day, however, she heard that Jesus was passing through her town, and her faith was awakened
suddenly. She left her house determined to push through the crowds and get to Jesus. Mark 2:3-11 also records how four men had to push through the roof in faith to get Jesus’ attention for their paralyzed friend. The Syrophoenician
woman also had to push through in faith with Jesus to get her request and Jesus honoured her faith (Mark 7:24-30).
The woman with the issue of blood had to push through her doubts, push through her past that said she had tried and it did not work out, and push through the fear that Jesus might not approve of her. Despite all the
opposition, she kept saying to herself, “When I get to Jesus, I will be healed”, and that was what happened.
What do you need to press through in faith? Press now, for Great faith gets God’s attention.

1. Father, thank You for the grace and opportunity that my faith can push through to You and do amazing things.
2. Lord, help me to reach out and touch You by faith today.
