Text: Psalm 18:31-40
Memory Verse:“I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed” (Psalm 18:37).
God does not promise to eliminate the challenges, instead He promises to give us strength to meet and conquer them. If the Lord gives us no rough roads to walk on, no mountains to climb, and no battles to fight, we will not grow in spiritual stamina. God’s great power is able to strengthen us to face and overcome the challenges of life and enemies that revolt against us.
Those who do not know how to pursue enemies cannot overtake them. And those who fail to overtake their enemies will remain in the realm of limitations and oppression. The primary requirement you must possess before you can pursue the enemies of your soul is to have a relationship with God and faith in His Word. This will endue you with the strength of the Lord. As you cultivate this relationship through prayer and study of the word, your faith and spiritual stamina will grow (1 Peter 2:2).
You must learn strategic ways to pursue the enemies of your soul. You must chase your enemies, pursue them with aggression and intense prayers until they are conquered. You will surely see principalities and powers falling under
your feet. If you do not pursue the enemies now, they will eventually pursue you. The devil is not resting, he is going about seeking whomto devour (1 Peter 5:8). So, seek not yet repose; you are inthe midstof foes. Watch and pray.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, by Your word shield me.
2. Holy Spirit, empower me with strength to pursue the wicked one seeking to hurt my soul.
