Show Me Your Ways Lord

Text: Psalm 25:1-10
Memory Verse: “Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths” (Psalm 25:4).
Knowing the way something is done or navigating a particular path is crucial in life. When venturing into unfamiliar territory, seeking guidance from those who have gone before is essential. This principle applies to both physical and spiritual journeys.

David’s prayer, asking the Lord to show him His way, shows the importance of having God’s guidance. Moses, another biblical leader, understood the importance of knowing God’s ways. In Exodus 33:13, he prayed that the Lord should show him His ways. He recognised that knowing God’s ways is essential to walking with Him and experiencing His presence. Similarly, David advised his son, Solomon, to seek the Lord and know Him, emphasising that seeking God leads to finding Him (1 Chronicles 28:9).

As a child of God, it is essential to humble yourself and seek to know His way in every aspect of life. This includes seeking guidance on spiritual matters, relationships, career decisions, and other areas. By knowing and following God’s ways, you will be able to walk and please Him (Proverbs 3:5&6). Without pleasing Him, life will lack purpose and direction. Knowing God’s ways is a lifelong process, and it requires humility, obedience, and a willing heart. When you know and follow His ways, you will find fulfillment, purpose, and direction in life.
Today, take a step to seek the Lord and ask Him to show you His way and path.

As you do, you will experience His mercy and loving kindness, and He will guide you through life’s journey.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, please, show me Your way and teach me Your path.
2. I humble myself to learn of You, O Lord.
