Text: Judges 3: 5-11
Memory Verse: “When the children of Israel cried out to the LORD, the
LORD raised up a deliverer for the children of Israel, who delivered them: Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother” (Judges 3:9).
The children of Israel faced God’s wrath because of their sins, and this led them into bondage and slavery. In their misery, they cried out to God, and He, in His mercy, raised a deliverer, Othniel, to rescue them. This highlights an important truth: God is always ready to hear the cries of His people, but He also seeks men and women willing to be instruments of deliverance in His hands.
You were created to be a solution provider for your generation, not a problem maker. God has saved you to serve as His agent of deliverance and help alleviate the miseries around you. So, how well have you positioned yourself to be used by God to solve the challenges of your time, your community, and the world?
Throughout history, God has used individuals who were willing to be vessels of
His power and purpose, such as:
- Joseph: “Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you'” (Genesis 41:39).
- Moses: “The Lord said, ‘I have surely seen the afflictions of my people which are in Egypt… Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt'” (Exodus 3:7-10).
God constantly seeks solution providers. Are you positioning yourself as a troubleshooter, ready to bring solutions, or as a troublemaker? The choice is yours.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, make me a solution provider to my generation.
2. Father, I refuse to be a troublemaker
