Text: Exodus 17:8-13

Memory Verse: “But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun” (Exodus 17:12).

The world system recognises the effectiveness of teamwork and how great work is achieved collectively rather than individually. It is a skill sought for in applicants seeking employment in most organisations. The level of achievement in the realm of the spirit would be unquantifiable, if believers align their spiritual gifts together to form a formidable team. The effect would be phenomenal.

The battle against the Amalekites could not have been won by Joshua without Aaron and Hur collaborating with Moses. Leviticus 26:8 explains the multiplier effect of collaboration. Rather than envying the gifts of other brethren, striving to outrun or run them down, you should align your gifts with theirs, thereby forming a strong force against the kingdom of darkness. You will be surprised at how many battles you will win for the Lord as a team.

Know that there will always be people who occupy a position of leadership over you. This does not mean you are inferior to them. Joshua was commanding the battle, Moses was the spiritual leader, while Aaron and Hur were sensitive elders to the secret of winning the battle. They did not give in to jealousy, but assisted Moses to achieve the common goal.
Keep your eyes on the ultimate goal at your place of work, church, home and community and work well with others to get the desired outcome. In doing this, you will be victorious in all spiritual battles and your ability to deal with
situations will increase.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, please help me to recognise and shun every act of envy and jealousy.
2. Father, help me to identify my spiritual strength and give me grace to genuinely collaborate with other believers.
