Text: Matthew 24:3-13

Memory Verse: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Matthew 24:12&13 KJV).

The world is in a cup of trembling and spiraling downwards. Both in intensity and dimension, evil is on the rise. Good enough Jesus had said to His disciples that when they begin to see false teachers rise to deceive people, persecution of believers, prevalence of lawlessness, and the love of many growing cold, they should know that their redemption is at hand. Evil has always been, but its intensity and magnitude today is horrendous. It is unprecedented. However, that is not to suggest that God’s children are in trouble. No, it is just to make us understand that we are living witnesses of the fulfilment of prophecy.

We may not know the day or the hour when the Son of man will come, but we can know through the signs that the time is near (Luke 21:25). As we cannot know where the wind is coming from, but see its effects, the signs of the times show us that we are climaxing the end of the age. What is important is that we should be prepared for it.
Paul, the apostle, writing to his protégé and son in ministry, Timothy, declares: “This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come” (2 Timothy 3:1). The end is near and the times are really challenging. In the midst of these challenges, you must understand that God is for you. He will never leave or forsake you. Therefore, do not grow weary.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, my love for You shall not wax cold.
2. Lord, grant me grace to make a formidable impact in my world for the kingdom.
