Text: John 17:1-5
Memory Verse: “And this is eternal life that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).

Christ died to bring us into a restored relationship with God, so that we may know Him, not just as Creator, but as Father, Redeemer, and Friend. The goal of our salvation is intimacy with the only true God, set apart from all false gods. To know God is not merely intellectual; it is deeply relational and transformational.

To truly know God means having a personal and living relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ (John 1:12). It involves turning away from all unrighteousness and choosing to walk in full obedience to His Word. It requires living a life of faith, i.e., believing in Him, even when it does not make sense and you cannot see the full picture (Hebrews 11:6). It is seeking to please Him in your thoughts, words, and actions, knowing that it is God who works in you to will and to do His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). It includes understanding how He wants you to treat others, i.e., with love, grace, forgiveness, and humility.

Paul, the apostle, despite his deep experiences with God, still longed to know Him more. This shows that the pursuit of knowing God is lifelong and should be intentional. Do not be complacent or casual about your relationship with God. Desire to know Him deeply, intimately, and passionately.

In knowing God, you find purpose, strength, and eternal direction. May the Lord help you seek and find more of Him today.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, help me thirst after knowing You and Your Son.
2. Lord, reveal Yourself more to me that l may know You more intimately as
the only true God.
