Text: Luke 8: 40-48
Memory Verse: “But Jesus said, ‘Somebody touched Me, for I perceived
power going out from Me’” (Luke 8:46).
The Bible tells the story of a woman who had suffered from constant bleeding for twelve years. Despite spending all her money on doctors, none could provide a cure. She must have been physically weak from excessive blood loss, emotionally drained from years of suffering, and socially isolated due to being considered ceremonially unclean. Additionally, she must
have had an unpleasant smell which could have further isolated her from society. Yet, none of these challenges deterred her. She was determined that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed.
Is there a persistent problem in your life that has resisted every solution? Have you reached a point where you have accepted it as part of your existence? It is time to rise in faith and reach out to the Master. Jesus who healed this woman is waiting for your touch of faith today.
Did you notice that Jairus also approached Jesus for help for his daughter (Luke 8:41&42)? You should too. Do not let anything; mockery, financial struggles, time constraints, distance or health challenges hold you back. The woman in Luke 8 did not allow societal rejection, physical weakness, or financial loss to stop her from pressing through the crowd. Neither should you allow obstacles to keep you from experiencing God’s miraculous power.
Step forward in faith. The Master is waiting. One touch of faith is enough to transform your life forever. Will you reach out to Him today?

1. Lord, I am touching You concerning my problems today. Grant me the grace to laugh.
