Text: Job 42: 7-12

Memory Verse: “Then all his brothers, all his sisters, and all those who had been his acquaintances before, came to him and ate food with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. Each one gave him a piece of silver and each a ring of gold” (Job 42:11).

The story of Job teaches us many truths about life. You never know who truly loves you until you are confronted by challenges. Many people whom you assume will defend you in life are going to be your hardest critics. Many are with you today because of what they can get. People abandoned Job at the time he needed them most. His friends became his tormentors.

God rebuked them, restored Job’s losses, blessed, and honoured him. This made all his brothers, sisters, and all the people that were his former friends to come and eat food with him in his house. They consoled and comforted him for all the misfortune that had befallen him. Each one gave him a piece of silver and a ring of gold as gifts. No one can bless you, if God has not blessed you. No one can curse the one that God has blessed. Do not waste your time seeking approval and acceptance from men, but patiently wait and pray for God’s favour. He will intervene in
your affairs and cause men to bless you.

Do not accept the lie of the devil that you will not survive your current challenges. No problem has come to stay in your life; they are passing through. Do not be tied down to the altar of bitterness. Bless those who mock you. God
is going to justify and bless you. You still have greater days of sunlight ahead of you.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, rebuke my traducers on my behalf.
2. Lord, thank You for preparing a great future for me.
