Text:
Revelation 4:10&11
Memory Verse:
“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power; For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11).
What a great God we serve (Psalm 145:3)! No one can fathom the depths of God’s greatness. His ways are beyond our understanding, and His power is absolute. Even the most powerful beings in the universe are nothing compared to Him. To know God is to stand in awe of His might and majesty. He created all things for His pleasure and regardless of who you are, you are not a mistake. You were created for the pleasure of the King of kings. Any moment you dip your hand into sin, you are not bringing pleasure to Him and you are saying He is not worthy. May you receive grace to bring pleasure to God now and forever. “Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. O, worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness” (1 Chronicles 16:29).
God’s love for us is also incomprehensible. He loves us so much that He sent his only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. There is no greater demonstration of love than this. Because of God’s great love for us, we can be forgiven and have eternal life with Him.
Therefore, what is and should be your true purpose for living? Life will one day end and all that will remain will be an eternity spent either in His glorious presence or in eternal suffering. The choice is yours, but remember that your time here is short in comparison to forever. Have you, by faith, made your heart His home?
Prayer Points:
1. Father, may my life bring pleasure to You always.
2. I receive grace to be among those that will praise You in eternity.
