Text: Philippians 3:7-14
Memory Verse: “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14).
Life is a journey, we are travelling, inevitably, from where we started gradually to the end. This accords with the saying that “whatever has a beginning surely has an end.” The crucial thing, however, is what happens in between. Now that the race is on, some questions you need to ask yourself are: “Where am I heading to? What am I doing as I journey along?”Orsimply put, “what is driving me?”
Every life is driven by something. But are you aware of what is driving you? Always remember that the reason why you are created is to love, worship and serve God. Ask yourself, “am I on course or have deviated?”
There are levels of living:
Survival: This is the first and the lowest level where many are just existing, no major goals of what to achieve in life; they are everywhere, anytime, aimlessly. Nothing drives them and they are not aiming at anything.
Success: They focus on living a comfortable lifestyle, but it does not satisfy them. They are ready to do anything for the sake of success.
Significance: Significance is when you know why you are where you are. You have a purpose for your life. Realising the meaning of what is going on in your life and what you stand for. A life that sets a boundary or limit, a life with
caution and discipline.
Every life needs to move from success level to a life of significance, a life of relevance.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, help me to know You more.
2. O Lord, be the centre of my purpose for living!
