Text: Revelations 1:10-20
Memory Verse: “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death” (Revelations 1:18).
What a great privilege to serve a living God! Some people’s gods are dead. They carry their god around and mould and carve their god into a particular shape. They bow and worship such gods that cannot help them even in times of desperate needs. But our God is alive forevermore. He overcame death and hell and also has the keys of both death
and hell in His hands.
What does that mean to you as a child of God? It means that death can no longer hold you in fear. It means that death is not your end, it also means that there is life after death and that in Him you will live forever. You can take
consolation in the knowledge that you are victorious over death and that death for you is a translation into another life with your Saviour, Jesus Christ.
This is one reason that should make you glad and deeply appreciative to God. His life in you quickens your mortal body (Romans 8:11). His life in you causes you to enjoy all that He has provided for you through His death and
resurrection. Whatever has been dead in your life should come alive. It is time to rejoice because you serve a living God who hears and answers all prayers. Is there something you are still expecting Him to do for you? Don’t give up, because He is alive and will do it at the set time. Hope and rejoice exceedingly in Him for He lives forevermore.

1. Father Lord, I thank You for You are a living God that hears and answers prayers.
2. Lord, let me experience the life changing power of Jesus in me today.
