An Invitation To Abundant Life

Text: Isaiah 55:1-10

Memory Verse: “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price” (Isaiah 55:1).

Isaiah 55:3 is a sure instruction; the Lord says “Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David.” This promise was repeated by Jesus when he instructed us to seek the kingdom of God first, then everything will be added to it. Today Christians put the cart before the horse by seeking for abundance, instead of a relationship with God (Matthew 6:33). Prosperity in this world is often measured by material things, yet we are told to “come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” Jesus is asking you to partake in an abundance of joy, peace and bliss that no currency on earth can buy, a joy that comes by salvation and choosing to work and walk with Christ.

Why do you waste money and time chasing things that do not matter in the end? God is inviting you to incline your ear to Him; listen so that your soul shall live (2 Timothy 2:1-5). As believers, do not be distracted by the wiles and
treasures of this world, but instead honour the invitation to live in abundance for eternity (Psalm 86:11). It is not the will of God for us to suffer. To avoid this, we must honour the invitation to step into this abundance by faith. Jesus is calling you today into a life of prosperity (Revelation 3:20)!

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, please give me the grace to answer when You call.
2. Lord, please lead me into Your sure abundance.
