Text: Acts 4: 32-37
Memory Verse: “Neither was there any among them that lacked; for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold” (Acts 4:34).
Many people desire to be blessed, but few pray to be a blessing; They hardly pray to affect people positively though the word of God makes it clear that the liberal soul shall be made fat. It is a fact that being a blessing provokes more blessings (Luke 6:3).
The early church affected people positively – distribution was made to every man as he had need and brethren shared their belongings freely. Joseph was a unique example of a blessing to a number of people. He was a blessing to Potiphar and his household; the chief butler of Pharaoh; Pharaoh and his kingdom, especially during the time of plenty and the time of famine; and to
members of his family.
In these present times, we need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to direct us to the people who will benefit most from our gifts or resources. The question is, “Are you a blessing to your family, aged parents, the body of Christ, your community and the larger society?
In Acts 10:38 Jesus went about doing good, healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. Make up your mind that you will be a blessing to all that cross your path in line with Galatians 6:9&10, which enjoins us not to be weary in doing well and, as we have opportunity, we should do good to all men, especially those of the household of faith.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, bless me and make me a channel of blessing to others around me.
2. Father, let my destiny helpers locate me, so that l can be a much more blessing to others.
