Blameless And Shining As A Star

Text:
2 Peter 3:11-14; Philippians 2:12-16

Memory Verse:
“Therefore beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by him in peace, spotless and blameless” (2 Peter 3:14).

A blameless life is not an ordinary one or a moral type of Christian living and it is not to be attained by status or title. The high level of spiritual pollution in this present age makes it very difficult to live a blameless life. For us believers, however, Christ has made sufficient provisions for us to attain
this high level of Christian living. Colossians 1:21-23 reveals how Christ made it possible for us to live a blameless life: He reconciled us back to God through the shedding of His blood, offered His body to be crucified, rose from the grave to establish a life of victory for the believers and, thereby,
making it possible to live a blameless life.
Job was described by God Himself as a blameless person. Daniel could not be tracked down by his enemies because they could not find a single fault against him. Our role in a blameless, pure and spotless life requires that we continue in the faith and be properly rooted and steadfast, maintain a pure heart and fix our thoughts on things that are pure (Philippians 4:8&9).
God demands that you should be blameless. If you must enter into a lasting relationship with God, you must live a blameless life at home, your workplace, among the brethren and anywhere you find yourself. Can you testify for yourself like Paul did in 1 Corinthians 4:4 “for I know of nothing against myself.”

Prayer Points:
1. Father, help me to live a blameless life.
2. Holy Spirit, please let not my heart be drawn away from the righteous path.
