Psalm 107:31-38

Memory Verse:
“Oh that men will praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men” (Psalm 107:31, KJV).

praise can be described as an outburst of thanksgiving by a grateful child Pof God in God’s presence. No wonder it is said that God dwells in the praises of His children, because that was what He created man for. Our God is praiseworthy as seen in Revelation 4:11, “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honour and power; For You created all things, And by Your
will they exist and were created.” Man can show forth the praises of God by acknowledging God for who He is and not for what we can get from Him. We can also show forth the praises of
God by being thankful all the time for both small and big mercies, and by acknowledging His mighty works. By living in obedience to His word and His will concerning us. Also, we should live our lives in a way that others will praise God for our lives. If we are created for praise, then at all times and in all situations, we must praise God, like Paul and Silas who, though imprisoned for preaching the Gospel, praised God to the extent that their chains were broken (Acts 16:25-28). This
shows that praise generates miracles. David praised God for who God is and earned the testimony of a man after God’s heart (1 Samuel 13:14). He praised God continually and got victory in
return. You need to cultivate the habit of praise and live in a manner that will show forth the praises of God at all times.

Prayer Points:
1. O Lord, put on me the garments of praise that my life may show forth
Your praise always.
2. Lord, as I praise You, let Your wonder working power work miracles in
my life.
