Text: Acts 6:1–6

Memory Verse: “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business” (Acts 6: 3).

Thepeople want to get involved without the readiness to fulfil the criteria for an acceptable service. The church has suddenly become attractive and fashionable to the people of this generation, albeit they are doing it according to their own standard. To be enlisted as part of the end time army, the criteria are very clear and anyone that fails to meet up is not qualified to serve. It is not enough to be willing and available, even though these are very important. Much more important, however, is your reputation and testimony among the people and God, of being full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. These are the criteria for service in God’s Kingdom.

The presence of the Holy Spirit and His wisdom in your life will show outwardly in your actions as He guides and directs you to know what to do at every point. Many believers do not have a good reputation among the people
around them. In essence, they have lost their flavour as salt (Matthew5:13). Their testimony has, therefore, been tainted and their service cannot turn people to the gospel. To be fit for the service of the Master in these end times, You must live cautiously to ensure that you have a good testimony among the people. You must surrender completely to the leading of the Holy Spirit and trust absolutely in His wisdom.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, make me fit for Your service in this end time.
2. Father, deliver me from everything that will destroy my testimony.
