Flying on the Wings of the Wind

Text: Psalm 18:10, 1 Kings 18:41-46
Memory Verse: “And he rode upon a Cherub, and flew; yes, He flew upon the wings of the wind” (Psalm 18:10).
God gives unusual grace to people to enjoy speed in life in terms of personal development, career advancement, family marital relations and ministerial service, among others. Under the same environment and conditions many stagnate and labour in vain. This is beyond human
comprehension. Prophet Elijah, on foot, overtook King Ahab who was riding home on a horse. This was possible by the special grace of God on the prophet.

The wind is a natural phenomenon with peculiar characteristics. It does not encounter obstacles on the way as it can uproot trees, destroy houses and scale over mountains. The wind has speed. The average speed of the wind is about 50km/h. This is beyond the limit of the fastest athlete. The wind can metamorphose into a gentle breeze which soothes the body, chasing away heat and sweat.

Flying on the wings of the wind has tremendous benefits such as giving you the leeway to scale obstacles, attain your objectives on time, as well as accomplish God’s assignment successfully. To fly on the wind’s wing, you must have a relationship with Jesus, daily live in obedience to please the Lord, and have a thriving prayer life.

Is there any delay in the realisation of your plans in life? Are you weary and stagnant? Has that desire become elusive? Take it to Jesus and, like Elijah, you will mount on the wings of the wind and soar to your destination. You will get there.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, by Your grace let me mount on the wings of the wind.
2. Lord, this year, give me the grace to achieve every lingering plan in my life.
