Text: John 13:18-28

Memory Verse: “Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, ‘What you do, do quickly’” (John 13:27).

Satan’s mission in any life is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). It might not look destructive at the beginning, when he comes with enticement to sin. It may look very nice and attractive, but it always destroys in the end.
Jesus was with His disciples telling them that the scripture must be fulfilled concerning Him, that as it is written; it was one that ate with him that would betray him. One of the disciples asked who it was that would betray Him. He
replied that it was the one He would give a piece of bread to. He then gave a piece of bread to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Immediately, Satan entered into Judas, and arising from there, he went and arranged for Jesus’ arrest with the chief priests and captains. Even though it was written that someone would betray Jesus, it was not specified that it would be Judas Iscariot. He became the one because he allowed Satan into his life.

Do not allow Satan into your life. He roams around looking for opportunities to enter lives. Ephesians 4:27 admonishes us not to give place to the devil. You must be vigilant and watch out for your soul. Satan goes about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Watch your words, attitude and actions. Be prayerful; make the word of God your daily companion. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk by His dictates.

Prayer Points:
1. Father, help me to be vigilant at all times.
2. There is no room for Satan in my life.
