Text: Psalm 46:1-3
Memory Verse: “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).
Mark sat all by himself at the entrance of the church while others were in the auditorium enjoying the thanksgiving dinner. They were oblivious of his commitment to watching and ensuring that no
intruder came in to cause any harm to the people who had come to worship. For him, it was a very important assignment which he did not take lightly, even when encouraged to leave to get some dinner.
Are you aware of God’s watchful eyes going with you through life, even when you do not feel it? It was in acknowledgment of this that David said, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You arewith me” (Psalm 23:4).
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous as His eyes go to and fro the earth beholding the evil and the good” (Proverbs 15:13). He is quite aware of the antics of the devil and is watching out and is able to prevent him from harming you. Even Satan is aware of the hedge that God has created round His own (Job 1:10).
So, fear not, child of God. God is watching over you and yours to keep you safe from every danger seen and unseen. The Lord will open your eyes to see the layers of protection around you, like Elisha did, so you can walk confidently at all times. As you go around every day, remember that God is watching over you.
Prayer Points:
1. Thank You, Lord, for Your watchful eyes over me.
2. May Your rod and Your staff continue to comfort me, O Lord.
