Text: Luke 19:29-35
Memory Verse: “saying ‘Go into the village opposite you, you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here” (Luke 19:30).
God is fully aware of your current situation. Though it had been tied down for some time, Jesus knew exactly where the donkey was and when the appointed time came, He sent for it. In Luke 19:5, Jesus looked up to see Zacchaeus who had climbed a tree so as to see Him because He knew where he was.
No matter what you are going through, or whether you feel unnoticed and unappreciated, when your time of divine announcement comes, those who once ignored you will seek you out. Maybe no one recognises your potential, your work, or your influence just like the colt, your season of divine recognition is near. God will announce you, and your impact will increase greatly. Joseph was forgotten in prison. His family thought he was dead, but when his time came, God brought him out and elevated him. Your testimony is next! John the Baptist was in the wilderness, yet crowds went to hear him, despite his uncompromising message. When you walk with God, you become a person of relevance.
Referring to the colt, Jesus said, “If anyone asks why are you loosing it?, tell them, ‘The Lord has need of it.’” Someone rightly said: “Understand this: neither your friends nor your foes control your future. God does.” That is the truth! Stay encouraged, for God is calling your name in this season of divine upliftment. He knows your address. He needs you.
Prayer Points:
1. Father, deliver me from everything tying me down today.
2. Father, Lord make me a person of relevance and great influence for Your glory.
