Text: Genesis 42:1-3;6-10
Memory Verse: “So Joseph recognised his brothers, but they did not recognise him” (Genesis 42:8).
Romans 8:28 often raises a question of how evil plans and schemes can work for someone’s good? Yet, throughout Scripture, we see this truth unfold time and again, and it continues to manifest today.
Take Joseph, for example. His brothers, filled with envy, plotted against him and sold him into slavery. They believed they were destroying his future, but in reality, they were setting him on the path to fulfilling God’s purpose for his life.
Eventually, they bowed before him, acknowledging his authority (Genesis 42:45). In the same way, every plot against you will only propel you into your divine destiny.
Similarly, when King Herod sought to kill baby Jesus, his actions merely fulfilled prophecy (Matthew 2:16-18). Even more astonishing is how the conspiracy of the devil, Caiaphas, Judas, the Pharisees, and the Sadducees, which led to Jesus’ crucifixion, was all part of God’s perfect salvation plan. Indeed, if Satan had known that Christ’s death would lead to his own defeat and Jesus’ glorification, he would never have orchestrated it.
So, do not fear opposition. Trust in the Lord and do His bidding. Be sure you are one of His and in the right. Just as He turned evil into good for Joseph, Jesus, Daniel, and his Hebrew friends, He will do the same for you. Every scheme against you will become a stepping stone to your elevation. You are rising to higher ground!
Prayer Points:
1. Father, I thank You for what I am experiencing presently for it will work out for my good.
2. Father, turn every set up against me into my lifting.
