Text: Job 41:11; 1 Kings 22:1-6

Memory Verse: “Who has preceded me that I should pay him? Everything under heaven is Mine” (Job 41:11).

The idea that everything belongs to God is mere academics for some, as they live contrary to this truth. A true knowledge that all belongs to God will compel you to live in continuous appreciation of God and His
divine love. You have received all you have from God and, so, there is no room for boasting (1 Corinthians 4:7). The one who knows that he has nothing of his own, but all he has belongs to another will eternally be grateful to the provider.

Ahab said, “Ramoth in Gilead is ours.” Truly, God had given the land to Israel but Israel, led by Ahab, was living in disobedience to God. When Ahab wanted to hear from God about his plan to recover Ramoth Gilead from the enemy, his four hundred prophets were servants of the devil possessed by a lying spirit. Ahab and his family were under death. They rejected God and His blessings became a snare of death for them. Appreciation involves loving the giver. You cannot love a person without obeying and giving him due honour. If you love God, you will obey His
commandments.
Do you recognise God as the owner of all you have? Are you accountable to Him? Do you give to support the work of God? Are you involved in blessing other people in any form, or are you so engrossed in using all that God gave you to promote your lavish self-interest? How are you demonstrating appreciation to God for His blessings upon you?

Prayer Points:
1. Thank You, Lord, for Your manifold blessings on me.
2. Lord, help me know how to use what You gave me in pursuit of Your mandate.
