Hard Times Will Not Last

Text: Daniel 11:30-35

Memory Verse: “but the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits” (Daniel 11:32b).

No doubt times are hard and the economic crunch is all over the world. The Bible predicted that perilous times shall come when people will forget to show hospitality to one another. Hard times are experienced in different ways; financial, social, marital, career, business or emotional, but whatever we are going through now, it is not new. Therefore, each hardship is made up of the crisis and opportunities it brings. Hard times are a part of life. Times were also hard in Samaria, the city was besieged by the army of the enemy, subdued and faced starvation. It was so bad that they started eating each other’s children (2 Kings 6:29).

Any solution outside God will lead to frustration because it is a solution that will not last. Solutions to all problems come from God, there is no other way. We need to move closer to God in hard times like this because only Him can
proffer solutions to the difficult situations of life. In John 16:33, Jesus says, “These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

The global challenges being faced by humans are just a reminder that the end time is near and the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. Child of God, be ready, remembering that “Tough times don’t last but tough people do.”

Prayer Points:
1. Whatever comes my way, Lord, help me to be strong in You.
2. Lord, do not let the challenges of this world overcome me.
