Text: Psalm 46:1-10

Memory Verse: “Be still, and know that I am God”(Psalm 46:10a).

Abraham was 75 years old when God made a covenant with him to give him a promised child, but he had to wait for 25 years before the child came. In Genesis 18:14, God said, “Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” We must let God, who made the promises, work out how and when they will come to pass. The truth is that most times our timing of events is not God’s timing. His timing is often longer than ours, which makes waiting or holding on more difficult. The waiting will usually prepare us for the future that He is promising. God says He makes all things, not some, beautiful in His own time (Ecclesiastes 3:11a). Why not hold on, and see Him fulfil the promises and covenants He has made to and with you.

Are you going through difficult times? Speak to those situations and trust God to perfect all that concerns you. Praise God like never before. Praise is one of the most powerful weapons to use while you wait, because it shows the devil that you are not weary and that you believe that God would do the best in your life. Waiting on God may not be that easy, but He is ready to supply the grace needed. Hold on. Wait on Him concerning His promises to you and it will pay off in the end.

Prayer Points:
1. God, You are the I am, please show Your supreme power over every situation in my life.
2. I will praise You, my God, like never before.
