Text: Psalm102:10-15
Memory Verse: “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favour her, Yes, the set time, has come” (Psalm 102:13).
Favour is an act of kindness beyond what is usual or due. It is an approval, support or liking for someone or something. God alone can give you the blessings that, humanly speaking, you do not deserve or qualify for. Whatever you may be going through, God’s set time for you is here.
Remember that God has interest in you. One moment of God’s favour does more than a lifetime of struggling and toiling.
Your walk with God does not mean you will not experience opposition from the enemy, but God’s love for you is so great. As you walk in God’s favour, you begin to discover great ideas, solutions, strategies, help, resources and doors of opportunities are opened from the most unexpected ways.
Ruth encountered God’s favour after a previous life of labour. Through God’s favour, she went from being a poverty-stricken widow to becoming the wife of a wealthy man named Boaz (Ruth 1:21&22, 2:1, 4:13). Similarly, Esther went from being a slave to becoming the wife of a king and used her position to save the entire Jewish nation at a critical stage of their history.
Proverbs 16:7 says that “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. “So Child of God, concentrate on pleasing God and let Him handle all your situations. Do not use human knowledge; rather, do everything possible to please Him and He will surely favour you. Hold on to Him.
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, thank You for Your mercies and favour in all my ways.
2. Lord, may Your favour upon my life never cease.
