Luke 15:1-7

Memory Verse:
“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).

The whole Church erupted into jubilant celebration when the news came that a beloved family that had waited for the fruit of the womb for almost 16 years had birthed a baby boy. The wait had been long and tedious. Many had actively participated in prayer and fasting on behalf of the family. There appears to be no joy that surpasses the arrival of a new baby. The birth of a new member into the kingdom of God also causes profound joy in heaven. God loves all people and wants every sinner to come to Him. He does not show favouritism. The soul of man is so precious to Him that He invested the blood of His Son for his redemption. Repentance causes great joy in Heaven because it confirms the efficacy of the blood that was shed for us (Luke 15:7).
Every human being wants joy and so does our heavenly Father. The devil, unfortunately, does not want joy for anyone. The Bible says the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give life (joy) in its fullest measure (John 10:10). It is evident that it is not everything we count important that gives joy in heaven. It is not our service, giving, or going to church. No wonder every Christian has been enlisted to propagate the good news. Unfortunately, most modern-day Christians have lost the passion for this assignment. Will you rise up to the occasion of bringing joy to heaven and adding to your crown? He that wins souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30).

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, help me to share Your love with all.
2. Father Lord, minister to the hearts of men through Your grace in me.
