Micah 7:1-7
Memory Verse:
“Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my
salvation; My God will hear me” (Micah 7:7).

To hear is to become aware of a sound. It is to listen and attend to a thing. God hearing one is the same as saying that God answers one’s prayer. ‘God will hear me’ is a statement of assurance. A woman walked up to her daughter-in-law and asked her when she would give her a baby. The daughter-in-law replied that she need not worry, because very soon she would carry her baby because she knew that God would hear her. The prophet Micah recognised that he was living among wicked people who did many terrible things to one another. They were ripe for destruction. He concluded that the only way out for him was to look to the Lord and wait on Him for his salvation. He spoke with assurance that he knew his God would hear him.
Abraham, at the time of his test, also spoke with assurance that ‘the Lord will provide’ (Genesis 22:8,14). Jehoshaphat, at the time he was to go to battle with a great multitude that came against him, was afraid and looked up to the Lord, stating that his eyes were on the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:12, 15). At the end of the day, God gave Him victory.
Whatever the situation around you today, whether it is the problem of wickedness, lack, battle of any sort, all you have to do is look to the Lord and wait for His salvation. Be assured that He will hear you. He will deliver you and give you victory.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, give me grace to look up to You at all times.
2. Father, please hear my cry.
