Proverbs 18:10; Philippians 2:10-11
Memory Verse:
“that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,” (Philippians 2: 10).
Although canopies or strong towers are designed for protection, it behoves those for whom it is made to utilise it, effectively. A pre-storm advisory was issued in a country sometime ago, requiring residents in areas likely to be worse hit by an approaching cyclone, to relocate to safety tents already provided by the government. Few hours before the strong storm landed, a man decided to drive from the tent back to his house, against every counsel. He needed to quickly recover some valuable items, he said, but he was never seen again!
Jesus has made an appeal – ‘Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest’ (Matthew 11:28). The world continually experiences turmoil, stirred by man’s arch enemy – Satan; but the tent provided by Jesus is so strong that no storm – physical or spiritual, can
overcome anyone who runs into it. Nothing meaningful can be achieved when a man is under a storm, but heights can be attained in safety! All you need to accept that call is to accept Jesus
sincerely, after which you must remain under His shelter at all times. There, your protection and excellent achievements are guaranteed! For as long as the chicks remain under the protective wings of the mother hen, they are protected from predators.
As long as you remain under the wings of the Almighty, your protection and provision are certain on a daily basis – they are guaranteed!
Prayers Points:
1. Lord, help me never to stray away from Your covering.
2. Have mercy Lord and recover all who have departed from the canopy.
