Text:
Mark 10:46-52
Memory Verse:
“And Jesus answered and said to him, ‘What do you want Me to do for you?’ The blind man said to him, ‘Rabboni, that I may receive my sight'” (Mark 10:51).
Life has its own problems and difficulties. Thus, as a man, you are prone Lto be faced with the challenges it presents. Blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, had a challenge. He was blind, but the moment he heard Jesus was passing by his way, he utilised the opportunity to get His attention.
Though he was shouted down severally by the crowd while trying to get His attention, Jesus called him, and asked what his request was. Bartimaeus told Jesus exactly what he wanted. He wanted to regain his sight!
Life challenges are there to make and not to mar you as a child of God, but your disposition when they come will determine the result you get, whether victory or defeat. Through all life challenges, the Lord wants you to hang all your worries on Him. That is why He gave the invitation “come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). There is a
rest available for you in the Lord who has a listening ear. Who do you tell it to? When you suffer weariness, emotional distress, opposition, rejection, ailments in your body and other life difficulties, rather than complaining, murmuring, running helter-skelter looking for help where
there is none, or doubting the power of God and being confused, thinking all hope is lost in life, tell it to God. There is a grace already made available on a platter of gold, if you tell it all to the Lord (Matthew 7:7).
Prayer Points:
1. Lord, help me to speak out to You at all times.
2. Give me victory over life challenges.
