Text: Nehemiah 4:1-9
Memory Verse: “So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work” (Nehemiah 4:6).

Proverbs 22:29, Amplified Bible says “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.” Nehemiah was a man of great diligence, known for his efforts in restoring Israel after its captivity in Babylon. Through his unwavering commitment, he worked tirelessly to rebuild Jerusalem and its walls, despite facing strong opposition (Nehemiah 3&4). His determination ensured the restoration of the holy city and the resettlement of God’s chosen people. Nehemiah exemplifies the power of perseverance, showing that dedication and hardwork lead to success.

Similarly, Apostle Paul demonstrated an unyielding commitment to spreading the gospel. Despite facing severe persecution, alongside other apostles, he remained steadfast in ensuring that the message of Christ reached the Gentiles. His perseverance and faithfulness led him to stand before rulers and authorities, earning him great recognition. The diligence of Nehemiah, Paul, and other biblical figures teaches us that true commitment to God’s work leads to divine elevation.

As a believer, you must strive to emulate these great men by dedicating yourself to both spiritual and personal responsibilities. God desires that you seek Him wholeheartedly, obey His commands, and remain diligent in all you do. If you exercise diligence in every aspect of your life, God will grant you wisdom, strength, and divine favour.

Whether in evangelism, soul-winning, or daily responsibilities, you must remain steadfast despite challenges. By doing so, you align with God’s will and experience His blessings.

Prayer Points:
1. Strengthen my hand to be diligent, O Spirit of the living God.
2. Holy Spirit, please teach me to be diligent in keeping the Word and doing the work of God.
