Text: Matthew 6:27-34

Memory Verse: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

Wisdom is defined as the right application of knowledge, and, in this case, the knowledge of the word of God. Wisdom is better explained as the right application of the word of God which when well appropriated, brings about good success. King Solomon was and is still the most successful king that lived. His God given wisdom was unparalleled. True wisdom comes from God and is embedded in His word. For us to record genuine success, we must have enough of His word at our disposal. It is said that, “for one to be much for God, he must first be much with Him.” There is no doubt that one could get rich without God, but no man can be wealthy without Him.

True success is having riches without sorrow and that comes from God alone (Proverbs 10:22). The principles and wisdom to achieve such success are in His word. In other words, it is wisdom that makes you successful and also helps you to maintain the success. Wisdom considers the past (to learn how one got to this level), thinks of the present (making the most of now, knowing it is not forever) and thinks of the future (what legacy to leave).

God told Joshua that if he must be prosperous and have good success, he must study the word, confess the word and live the word (Joshua 1:8). To desire the word of God is to desire success. Be wise.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I pray that You give me grace to desire the sincere milk of Your word.
2. Lord, please help me to succeed and make my way prosperous.
