Text:
Psalm 24:7-9
Memory Verse:
“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you
everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in” (Psalm 24: 7).
In most cultures of the world, the king is highly revered, and monarchs in some countries are a sight to behold, both in splendour and majesty. Yet the splendour of these kings is incomparable to that of the King of kings. Imagine the glory and strength of the sun as it rises and sets; the beauty and grandeur of the plants as they grow and blossom; the strength of the lion as it roams the forest unchallenged! Then take time to imagine the majesty and strength of our God who made all things. When He decides to beautify or strengthen anyone, the rest becomes sweet testimonies! Also, imagine for one minute that you have the President of the country as your friend. Doors will naturally open to you in many quarters. Imagine the possibilities if the King of kings and the President of all presidents is your friend! At the mention of His name, doors physical and spiritual, have to open.
The powers of this world may try to lock you up in their prison, but when God decides to open the door, nothing can withstand Him (Acts 12:7- 10). Although our King is mighty in battle, yet He fights only on the side of those who allow Him to rule their lives. That explains why you must open the door of your heart to Him today. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone
hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him,…” (Revelation 3: 20).
Are you ready? He is waiting.
Prayer Points:
1. Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity to be Your child.
2. Lord, please come into my life and fight my battles.
