Hebrews 13:5-8, Malachi 3:6

Memory Verse:
“For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob” (Malachi 3:6).

All God’s creation goes through some changes. As humans, we go through some changes – physical, mental and spiritual. It is good for us to undergo changes, otherwise some of us would have remained and died as unrepentant sinners.
God’s unchangeableness means that He ever lives and is ever the same. As He was in the Old Testament days, so He is in the New Testament day, and will ever be forever – equally merciful, powerful, and all-sufficient. He is unchanging in character, attributes, will, mind and covenant promises (Isaiah 46:10). His personality never changes, neither is there any
inconsistency or variableness in Him. The implication of God’s unchangeableness is that He is dependable, will always do what He promises and that His faithfulness is irreversible. His word
is His bond (Numbers 23:19). Since He remains the same, His actions remain consistent and His expectations do not change. The relevance and benefits of God’s unchangeableness are that the knowledge of that attribute of His, enhances our trust and confidence in Him. With this awareness, our fears, anxieties and worries are stilled.
As an unchangeable changer, God changed the barrenness of Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth to fruitfulness. God is unchangeable. You can rely on Him to keep His promises. He is there for you whenever you need Him. Do not give up! Hold on to His faithfulness. “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” (Hebrews 13:5).
Prayer Points:
1. Almighty God, my faith remains unshakable in You because You remain dependable.
2. Lord Jesus Christ, Your faithfulness is unto all generations, so I surrender all my will unto You.
