” It Is Friday, But Sunday Is Coming!”

Text:
Mark 15:33 & 34; 16:1-6

Memory Verse:
“But he said to them, ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him’”(Mark 16:6).

Oftentimes, the problems confronting us are so overwhelming that we do not see any hope of a better tomorrow. The other side of our problems is usually hidden in the avalanche of our immediate difficulties. Those who planned Jesus’ arrest, death and crucifixion did not know what was on the other side of the crucifixion, neither did the disciples imagine any good could come out of it. As far as everyone was concerned, Jesus’ fate had been sealed on Friday. They did not know that there would be a resurrection on Sunday and the immense impact it would have on mankind. They went looking for a risen Jesus in the tomb where they had left Him on Friday.
Joseph’s brothers could only see the Ishmaelite traders and an opportunity to get rid of their brother forever (Genesis 37:25-28). Joseph himself was probably kissing his dreams and hope for a brilliant future goodbye. None of them could have seen or imagined a Prime Ministership coming! Are you living right and squarely in God’s will? You may be going through a lot at the moment, but it may well be God’s passage to your victory and promotion. There is a victory and blessing on the other side of your difficulties.
The testimony comes after the test. Jeremiah 29:11 promises that God has good thoughts about you and He will bring them to pass, regardless of what you are going through at the moment. Hold on, your victory is coming.

Prayer Points:
1. Lord, please strengthen me through these difficult times.
2. Thank You for Your good plans, O Lord. Please hasten to perform them.
